357 Blank Pages
Hi friend,
A new year is unfolding before us—a new book with 366 blank pages (okay, 357 as of today) to write out our life story. Each day, each page, an opportunity to create more of the life we’ve imagined for ourselves.
What characters will be included in your story this year? What adventures do you plan to add in? What dreams will you allow to unfold?
I am even more determined to make this an epic year, a book that I will want to keep returning to because the story is a thrilling page-turner. While it started with a pay increase I knew about, and a car loan finally paid off (the first time I’ve been able to do this!), there is still a lot of space to add in more of what I want.
So what does that look like? Being persistent in allowing my global soul to be unleashed more fully into the world by making the leap to move abroad by the end of the year is my biggest goal. I want to drink in as much as I’m able to of what the world has to offer. Living in Okinawa in high school and having traveled to Canada, England and Croatia as an adult has only scratched the surface of all the places I want to explore. I want to feel it, write about it, photograph it, live it. I don’t want to keep looking at images online and in magazines of all the wonderful places to see. I want to experience them with my own eyes.
I plan to ink in more internal peace, feeling connected, building up my money reserves, and cultivating joy. There will be less stress and pushing to meet any standards that don’t resonate with my truth. I will write in more time for leisurely reading (not every book needs to be self- improvement) and creative endeavors with my writing and photography. More moments that make my heart and soul smile will be added in too.
How can you make this year a damn good one? What will you let go of to create space for what you want more of? How will you show up in the world?
Regardless of where you are in your life, it is never too late to create change, to shift or pivot, to head down a new path, to write a different or even better story. Permit yourself to write what is on your heart, to live what is in your soul.
There are still 357 blank pages until the next new year unfolds. What will you fill your pages with?
