Rebellious Wildflowers
Hi friend,
I was born with something inside me that refuses to live an ordinary life. There has always been a rebellious nature on various levels to question the rules written by men who lacked the imagination to live outside the walls of the status quo. In some way or another, I have refused to live within the confinement of other people’s limiting constraints of how life is to be lived, always seeking to release the binds, chains and shackles, even if only in smaller ways.
I’m not sure how this something grew to be what it is today, but the seeds were planted early on and have grown like uncontrollable weeds that the average person would seek to eradicate. To the curious observer, however, they would see them as wildflowers blooming strongly at will, refusing to be contained.
Whatever this is within, I am grateful for it. It’s been a driving force in permitting me to do unexpected things, extraordinary things, courageous things. I’ve collected licenses (life insurance, real estate), experience in various industries throughout my career, badges of courage in creating solo memories, multiple zip codes moving, and failed attempts at different ideas. Through it all I’ve learned much about myself and gathered wisdom. Ultimately, it’s helped me gain a better sense of who I am and create a deeper connection with myself.
I’ve come to realize that as time passes, I become less concerned with what others may think and more concerned about what I think. I want to minimize my regrets about living life fully as much as possible. I don’t want to become the biggest force that holds me back from realizing my potential. I want to be an inspiration to others to show them what is possible, and what can be achieved when you’re willing to try. I want to allow the deepest corners of my soul to be touched by my experiences.
So what is something you want to try and may regret if you don’t? You are the writer of your story. Dip your pen into those dreams and write a beautiful story that you are proud of. Let your wildflowers bloom.
